| The Community School at South Miami Middle has two components: | |||
| The first component offers the community multi-generational classes after school is out, and supports the total school efforts by offering extension activities to reinforce the FCAT test taking skills. | |||

| The second component
LIFE is a supervised after school care which features a study hall
where students can do their homework, read, and mentoring. This supervised
care takes place from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The charge
for this service is $6.00 per day but payment must be done by the 5th of
the month on a monthly basis. There is no after school care on teachers'
workdays. Below are the fees for the 2008-2009 school year. Note: Parents will be charged $10.00 late pick up fee for every 15 minutes or part of it after 6:15 PM. |
